455 piston

    while rebuilding my 455 i found out that one of my pistons was bad. so i went to ebay to see if i could find a piston there. i found a 1970 455 NOS GS piston. will this work in my 1976 block with my other stock pistons. it looked the same as the stock pistons.

    If it is an actual 1970 455 piston it will be 10:1. The pistons in your 76 block are 8.5:1. They pretty much look the same if you just glance at them, but if you actually look at the two different pistons you'll see the dish isn't so deep on the 70's.
