I have a question about the performance of the 1970 455 engine. In an electra 225, if you set the 455 to the original factory timing settings and put in the required octane fuel, how fast do you all think she'd go? :Brow: Just a silly question... although I would like to know
A 1970 Riv. did 0-60 in 8.2 according to one publication. Same engine and close in weight to the above mentioned car. Those Rivs weighed around 4300lbs. Think the quarter mile was in the low 16's.
A guy i knew had a '70 like yours with single exhaust that ran in the 15's. My '69 with a 430 & dual exhaust runs in the 15's @ 92 mph.
