455 motor

Just pulled. Ran good, but had lots of blow by at higher rpm. Ready for a refresh. 30 over block, forged pistons (not sure which, haven’t pulled a head yet) Poston 116 cam, stock rods and crank, minus waterpump, stage 1 SS valves in heads. I’ll include head and block casting pictures. $750 for the short block, $1000 for the heads. $1500 together. I also have a SP1 available,stock radiator, and the ac setup available that is still on the car but will be removed soon. Located in Albany NY. Not looking to part out motor at this time.

 

Maybe interested in the orig. radiator depending upon the details.

Thanks . But that's the Head # . Date code is at the other end of the head . It will be a Letter and then a 1 or 2 digit # .

Sorry guys just getting home from plowing. My hope is to sell via pickup if at all possible. Pics have been sent of the radiator, and posted of the date code on the head.

 

Forgot I have a set of exhaust manifolds to go with the motor.

 

Not stage 1, and need rebuilt. Don't know if this fits your requirements.

One more try. It’s in the way and I need the room. I’ll throw in a SP-1 intake for $1500. Must be picked up.

 

Do you know if it was still a stock compression (8.5-1) or closer to 10-1 compression?

 

I believe it was closer to 10-1 compression, as I was told it was built to 1970 Stage 1 specs
