I have a set of M/T headers that came on a GSX that was built up in early '80s. Don't know if the're repos or originals. Already clearenced for steering and ground (see pics). New high heat coating and polished from Race Wright Coating in Odessa TX. I have another set coated by them on my GS for 5 years plus and still look great. Get that distinctive deep throaty sound with these beauties. $580.00 plus shipping

Boy, if they weren't quite so "clearenced" I would consider them. Pm me if we can negotiate on the price.

Hello Don..I am in the middle of finishing up George Lanoue (San Jose) 72 GS Stage 1, and he is at the point of considering headers. I will pass this link onto him and he will more'n likely touch base with you!

They look like repros based on the shape of the flange. I think originals had round flange. Nice headers though.

I had MTs on my 70 GS and had no clearance issues. Guess I dont understand the need for clearancing. Good price I would buy them if they were not so dented by the steering flange. Good luck these are the best sounding headers for a BBB.

I agree, I LOVE the way they sound. No clearance issues with the steering shaft for me either, but, I will say this, clearance issues under the car for the $^tty roads in Maine are a huge issue for me. That said, NOTHING sounds like these headers do. There's a .wav file of these headers in the dictionary under "badass".

I've had three sets of these and never had to ding them like this, but that is how they were when they came off the GSX. And yes they hang low and will scrape on hard fast dips in the road or speed bumps.
