    Hi fellas.
I'm looking into replacing my 350 in my 65 skylark for a 455.
I have alot of questions. I've done a search, but have come up fruitless....do any of you guys know of a site or someone with experience that can help me?

    Thanks in advance,

    Thanx fellas!
This is what i'm gonna do:
Locate 455 (which year motor would be ideal)?

Locate TH400 tranny (would the th350 that i have work)?
Buy pads from T/A...is there a particular year? (67 pads maybe)?
Relocate stock transmission crossmember rearward and elongate holes.

i currently have a 350/th350...i don't know what rear end it's got yet. i don't think its any more than 3.3 - 3.5 (not too familiar with rear end gearing)..would what i have...(if it falls in range of the numbers i've thrown up) work?

    any input?
    thanks,
    kel

If you're going to spend the money on a new tranny, I would recommend a 200R4 or other overdrive tranny. That'll keep your 455 from spinning over 3000 rpm on the highway if you have 3.55 or higher gears in your rear.
