The crankshaft Harmonic Balancer for all Big Block Buick engines (400-430-455) is 6.75" in diameter. It has a circumference of 21.2"

It doesn't press on, it's a slip fit. I might be able to find it on the board. Let me look around.

Can't find anything, but I would PM Jim Weise.

He builds lots of Buick engines. He will probably know off hand, and if not, he can probably mike one up right there in the shop. What exactly are you trying to do?

the harmonic balancer went on my 69 riv so i ordered another from Summit ,the only one they supplied for that vehicle ,supposedly the right one and it doesn't fit,its about
1.3mm smaller in bore ID than the cranks hafts OD, so I'm trying to find out why

Perhaps it is for a Pontiac or Olds 455? Another potential explanation is poor machine work by a Chinese supplier.

OK, I believe those are not slip fit, they need to be pressed on. I suggest moving this thread to the engine forum, street/strip or Race. Jim, want to do that?

It should now be moved to the correct section. We also enhanced the title for the O.P.
