I have a beautiful Complete 1971 Buick 455 engine, lightweight Turbo 400, TCI converter, ignition, headers, very fresh, pro built. 9.1 compression, all factory, Q-Jet, Comp valve train, Venolia stocker pistons. Runs 11.32 @ 3800 pounds @ 2000 feet DA, would make an excellent street engine. I would like to sell the whole drive train. 4500.00 719 650-1609

Matt, The engine is in Colorado Springs, the Turbo 400 has lightweight internal parts, (drums), this engine is complete from the fan to trans tailshaft, carb to pan drive line with the headers and ignition, this is a professionally built blueprinted engine with very little time on it, actually its still in the car, seeing what it costs to rebuild one of the 455 this is an excellent opurtunity for someone get into not only a very well done engine but the complete drive train. http://youtu.be/thi4P42fC-8 http://youtu.be/6txULKio7Sc Car http://youtu.be/lhBxg7StJKc Attachments area
Thanks for your answer. The deal sounds like a good one. I think shipping would put it out of my grasp. Matt
Blueprinted stock 455, Comp valve train, .398 lift cam, Venolia 71 stock replacement pistons, the runs were made in the summer in the midwest, so there should be some more left in there. I don't know much more about it. I do know based on performance your looking at about 470 crankshaft corrected HP.
My understanding from Lyn himself was the car could run anywhere between 3400 and 3800, I believe this video was taken in G/SA trim @ 3800, anyway a nice deal for someone............to answer your question, several hundred pounds I would imagine.
Yea it is a super fair price, that trans alone has over 2k in hard parts alone, that car has always been a hard runner
I actually drove it today, when the secondaries opened and the converter wound up it was on the shift light instantly, pretty neat. BTW shipping a engine and trans to Florida would run about 500.00, and when you consider the whole drive train came with it, that a heck of a deal. I have no problem putting the 455 on the dyno for a in person buyer.
