While on this topic, what has happened to the aluminum version that T/A is supposed to be producing? Is it for real?

    Bulldog Block

Yes it is true. Should have first run ready within 6 weeks or less. At the foundry 2 weeks ago and probably in machining now.

    Funny thing,,,,

I just spent a couple nights in El Paso! Had some free time the last evening & met Jim B at his place.

Yes, he was expecting the 1st run to be delivered early Feb. I'd guess another week or so...:TU:

And many thanks again Jim, for shooting the bull and showing me around your shop...

I believe the Iron Block from Bulldog will be in the $3500-$4000 range.
I really doubt the Aluminum Block from TA will happen any time soon....
You have 3 options...Jump on board with the Bulldog project...Put a V6 in your GS:rolleyes: Or use a Chevy.....

    Gary,
The funny part of the V-6 turbo is that it'll put a 455 to shame. I was over at turbobuick.com and a guy listed a fresh stage II 4.1 on ebay that made 1388hp, with the starting bid of $12,000. He had a "Buy it now" for $15,000. With this new 455 block it wouldn't surprise me to see people investing $20,000 to get 1000 hp out if it.

My goal is to run in the 8's N/A with my car.....
If this Block never happened the only way for me to that would be Chevy power......
Now,Along with the block we need some Heads that will flow 400+CFM and mate up to a cast Manifold instead of Sheet Metal.
Then You'll see me mixin' it up with the NSCA Real Street Cars.

  10. This is the block that Jim B has been telling us about.
