I was able to come across three 45 fin aluminum drums with plenty of meat!!! i plan on taking the old ones off my 67 buick and replacing these "new" ones.

i am a little confused about the rear...there doesn't seem to be a castle nut on the rear. How do i put these drums in the rear? or can i simply put the drum over the studs?

is there any customization involved with this?

    thanks fellas

The rear drums should be cast iron, not aluminum. Your front drums may be 90 fin drums, not 45. Before mounting them, check a parts book to see if they will interchange, as the spindle and bearing dimensions changed a bit. If they won't work, sell'em on eBay or save'em for trades. My '64 chassis manual lists 12.080" as the point where the drum should be replaced. The rear drums will pull off, but you may need to retract the shoes with the adjustment star wheel and "convince" them to come off.

Front and rears are completely different....no interchange.
