I'm having my 430 rebuilt, actually its almost done. The shop told me they went .060 over. I thought there was a problem going this far over on a 430. Is it a problem? This is a stock rebuild of a 67 430. Not to be raced or anything. Thanks, Dave
overbore Not to worry,I've done a couple at .060", yeilds a 440 but don't tell the mopar guys, never had a problem, even did one to a 455 bore once and raced it for years. gary
Re: overbore Where did you find pistons? My first 455 was already .030 over when it decided to puke. (This was 10+ years ago) I was told I couldn't go any bigger on the bore, so I threw away the block. :ball:
pistons for the 455 race motor we obviously used forged race pistons,I believe we used hyperutectic for the 430 overbore. gary
