just bought a 69 430 out of an electra and would like to put it in my 67 special I have the motor mounts but no frame pads what will i need to make the swap will it bolt up to the 300 st tranny anything else you guys might think of thanks Gerry
See the 350 to 455 swap thread on this page. Pretty much everything there applies. You need the frame pads from TA, Poston, etc. That thread says a 70 Electra motor has a rear sump, so your 69 motor should too. New exhaust, or at least head pipes. Alternator/AC bracket should transfer, but you may need different power steering brackets. The 455 will bolt up to your ST 300, but it may not live long with big block torque going through it.
