I'm trying to fab up some exhaust for my 430 I put into a camaro. At this point it's a stock 430 w/ stock exhaust manifolds. I already have a rear section exhaust that was from the camaro. It's a flowmaster 40 series muffler w/ what I think is 2 1/4" leading into it. So far I've started routing the exhaust from the exhaust manifolds along side the transmission and I plan to join them just under the transmission mount and then head back to the rear of the car. I'm using 2" pipes from the exhaust manifold to where they join and then I was thinking 3" back to the muffler...even though the muffler has a smaller input than that. Do ya'll think with a stock engine this will be too much of a hindrance to performance? At this point I'm just trying to put something on the car other than open exhaust and not spend too much money...and 2" or maybe smaller is what was stock on the Riviera so I didn't think it would be too bad. Espesially since the exhaut manifolds don't seem to have a bigger exit than 2". What are your opinions?

Most of the dual systems were 21/4.
