430/455 blocks

    While working on a 430 today, a thought occured to me, Would it be possible to bore a 430 (4.1875) over to 455 specs (4.3125)? The blocks otherwise appear to be the same. Are the cylinder walls thick enough to do such a modification, just a thought.

    yeap, thats how GM went from 400 to 430 to 455.

    Leave it at 430 cubes! The thicker cylinder walls will be more of an advantage than the extra 25 cubes on a turbo engine.
