Looking to get an adequate quench distance in the future with close to a zero deck. The stock pistons with +/- .050 in the hole will not do. Thank you

John, kind of unusual size so not alot out there, bore to standard 455, then its a more common size.Would be a better chance of finding them.

Thank you, and yeah I know it's unusual, but I have read you can't take a 430 and punch it out to 455 safely. Have you found this to be the case on your own cars?

I've taken 430's out to standard 455 before. Even did a 400 once. Have it sonic checked just to be sure there isn't a lot of core shift.

  5. You could have your Machinist do a Sonic check of the block and that will tell you how far you could safely bore the engine out to

Assuming the sonic check says I can, how much would a machine shop charge to bore it that much?
