425 into 57withdynoflo

    would like to know if i can put a 425 in my 57 super
    and run the dynoflow.

    I think it would have to be a 63 425 that was original Dynaflow motor because the Dynaflow crankshaft it different than the T400 crankshaft.

    I think you have to use 364 l.h. exhaust manifold and 364 modified oilpan (longer stroke, crankshaft hits the oilpan) and modified oilpump pick-up. My 425 has been in `58 body and have these modifications.

    The 425 i have currently has a turbo400 behind it. Will the 425 oil pan fit in car?i guess i could put the 364 crank in it . i bought the
    motor and found i opened a can of worms.

    425 have center sump, I`m not sure, but I think you`ll need 364 rear sump oilpan. Does 364 crank fit to 425 block? If it fit, compression ratio falls too low (364 crank, rods, 425 pistons).
