Is There two different intakes for the 1965-66 401? I Have a line on a real low mileage Motor and guy tells me that it has the higher rise intake . Did they make two different ones?
'66 has a Q-Jet carb flange and will flow a little better than the standard issue 65 66 squarebore intakes.
If things don't work out for you buying the motor let me know as I'm looking for a short block. TIA The only difference was as stated with the into of the Q-Jet setup.
 So This would add up to better performance? A Little more Horsepower? Where can I find out about the Q-jet intake? Thanks for the info. P.S. Does anyone have a Radiator for a 1965 Wildcat w/t and no A.C.
There's a spread bore '66 intake on ebay right now......I just can't find it for you.:af: It was placed a few days ago.
Here it is!: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...4198&item=2468368835&sspagename=STRK:MEBWA:IT There were two single 4 bbl versions...the standard AFB 'square bore' and the 1966 Q-jet 'spread bore' ....There wasn't a 'hi rise' version available.... There was also a dual 4-bbl manifold available from 64-66.....
