401 exhaust noise under intake

    ej in ny, x-moparman, got me a 65 buick wildcat 401
    runs great ,sound like an exhaust gasket blew, but noise is coming from under intake ,does that valley pan ever leak and if so is it loud? i rev it up and it looks like exhaust gases coming out from under intake, any help appreciated

    sounds like the expansion plug on the bottom of the intake is leaking. Could be a symptom of a clogged exhaust system or corroded expansion plug? Remove intake to fix.

    Yup what txgwildcat said. Large plug on the bottom of intake needs to be replaced.
