401, 425 engine codes

    May have a chance to buy an engine out of a 66 Gran Sport . The guy is installing a crate chevy motor, and 6spd in it. When he bought the car, he was told it was a 425 . It has the 2 4's, alum valve covers and correct chrome air cleaner. I need the codes for 66 401 and 64 -66 425 .

    66 401 = mr for skylark. kw kx Lx mw = 425. 401 = jr jt kt Lt Lw

    I think you can guess the type of person I will be dealing with , putting a crate chebby in a GS. This is a running engine and auto trans. My plans are to install this in a 55 Buick 2 door Century sedan .Yes ,they are very rare, but this will be a Special with an extra porthole on each side and Century emblems inside and out.
