Close ratio 4 speed with overdrive. Muncie 661, came out of a 70 GS stamped POR29B, Upgraded Steel center support, sealed front bearing set up for road racing. No more leaks. When you dive into a corner at 100 mph with a stock muncie, oil comes out of the front retainer into the clutch. The sealed front bearing eleminates that. All New U.S. Autogear internals. Torque lock syncros so it doesn't just come out of gear at high rpm. This is race car quality components. Not just rebuilt, but all new parts, other than the case, tailshaft and bellhousing of course. Midplate between the case and the tail is steel. In high horsepower applications the stock midplate can get loose and flex. The overdrive is about 15%. $2150 or trade in a core for a discount. NEW PRICE - $2K Factory HP Buick performance clutch and pressure plate, disc and throwout bearing available for $150. Also have a GM Rebuilt factory C Code M-22 same era. $1700.
