I'm helping a friend with his 71 455 Stage 1 ?. The Body Inspection Sheet found in the defroster vent says this should be a 4 speed car but it has a 2004R in it(I think). I haven't got under it yet to look. Anyway, is the crankshaft already drilled for pilot bearing or are they transmission specfic? thanks in advance.....Rich in Little Rock
Thanks Dave........I haven't built any Buicks in years. I think the last one I worked on was a 430 out of a big Buick for a guy at work. He couldn't come up with money to pay me for labor so the machine shop keep the block,crank and heads for the labor.
