    Hello,

If I am converting from auto to 4 speed and I am going with a hydraulic clutch, will I still need most of the parts from a 4 speed conversion kit from a seller such as Parts Place? I know I need bellhousing, linkage, trans, shifter, flywheel. Does the hydraulic clutch eliminate many of the other parts I would otherwise need?

    Thanks,
    Rich

It will probably eliminate the need for a z-bar and clutch linkage but you will need a clutch master cylinder setup that isn't a factory item. Your saving grace is that a Chevelle/GTO setup will bolt right in if they offer an aftermarket arrangement.

When Tim at Mild to Wild was doing the conversion on my 70, he found the hydraulic system did not fit in well and would not work. He went back to the good ole GM system and it turned out well
