looks like Fred is selling his since he bought another one and doesn't need two. :3gears: He must have felt the new one was a better value. :Do No:

I do like the shameless plug for the board though. Should have said the guys at "v8buick.com" should like it! Can't find anything to critique in that beautiful car, so I will focus on his ad. :Comp:

This car was originally sold at Galloway Buick in Greensboro NC and was offered on this Board pre resto by member, Ryan's GSX.,

Folger is in Greenville but I could have sworn it was sold by Galloway in Greensboro. Perhaps they traded it between dealerships. There again my memory may have failed me.

    Nice GSX!!

    820mason,
That is a very nice car. Welcome to v8buick. Good luck on the auction!! :TU:

"You have the trans crossmember in backwards." :Dou:
    BuickBuddy,
It looks right to me. That pic is of the drivers side, and the emerency brake cable hole shows the crossmember to be in correctly.

Yup you are correct. I was looking at it wrong. :Dou:

I thought It was from the rear. The pic is from the front back.

I must have been wrong then. I apologize and will edit my post. :bglasses:

Are you planning on buying something then? Why else would someone sell such a beautiful car that has had such a detailed restoration????

  12. GStage1

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

Maybe the picture is flipped for the x-mbr.
Something(cable) does not look like it is routed properly.
The way it shows in pic, it will rub thru the x-mbr.

The only think I could "critique" was the car has a 71-2 rear
which is an 8.5" not the original 8.2". No big deal!

The grin I would have on my face driving a White GSX 4 speed with air (a must have here in AZ). Beautiful car!

It is going to be an interesting to compare this sale with the the 85K the 70 QQ auto stage one just brought on ebay without making reserve. I thought the QQ was going to hit 6 figures in which case I thought this car would make 6 figures. Now I do not know.

    Saw it's twin today

I had heard a local body shop had a 70 X in it a few months back. I figured it was a Skylark with stripes and I never made it there before they closed, until today. It's a real X- 10 10, Stage 1, 4 speed with air! Mostly original paint (still has the little skip in the stripe on the rear quarter). Very clean car, just getting some detailing/going over as it has been off the road for approx 20 years. The spare is the original Polyglass with the nubs still on it! I left my name/number for the owner and recommended he log on here. Still more out there..... Made my day just seeing it.
