Okay so I'm not big on 4 bangers, but I keep hearing evryone talking about them. I think I may just invest in 4 barrel and a intake. I'd like to hear evryones opinoins. What features do the q-jets have like a/f mixture screws and so on. Look I have seen one Q-jet on a chevy thats about it. I'm seriously interested in how many screws there are to adjust. How adjustable are the q- jets?
Are you running a "two barrel" carb now? Simply bolting on a stock four barrel (4V) intake and a Rochester Quadra-jet will bring you a huge smile! Devon
In another thread a guy says a bb 800cfm stock carb is better than the 350 carb. What do I look for when buying a new or used q-jet

One of my favorite is the 17057240 since it is a 77 Buick 350 carb with Adjustable Part Throttle feature: 1705 7 2 4 0 1705xxxx- 76-79 1708xxxx- 80 up 5th digit denotes the last numeral of the application year 6th digit 1 or 2 denotes if the original application is federal while 4 and 5 denote california 7th digit indicates application 0,1,2 cheby 3 Cad, 4 Buick* 5 olds, 6,7 Pontiac 8 Checker cab and marine 8th digit even= auto odd = manual.
Quadrajets are highly tunable, A/F ratio at idle, cruise, WOT. Just about everthing can be adjusted. If you can keep your foot out of the secondaries, you can even get better fuel mileage, due to the small efficent primarys.
