    Hello I`m a guy from Austria and own a 1982 Buick Regal 4.4l V8
    ( 267 cu inches )!
It`s very difficult to get information in Austria about this car!

    A few questions:

    1) Is this engine a good one?
    2) Has it enough power for the Regal?
    3) Is this V8 reliable?
    4) What sort of petrol should I fill in? ( 91, 95 or 98 octane )
    5) Whats your personal opinion about this engine?

    Thank you for your answers!

    Niki

    Niki,

The 267 is a Cheverolet engine. Its nothing spectacular, but it's a sight better than the Pontiac 265 I thought you had. I wasn't aware of the 267s being installed in Regals. Do I understand you have 98 octane available? Highest here is 94.
Those small V-8s will run fine on low octane, which is 87 here.
My personal opinion about the engine is that if it runs well, keep it. I'm guessing upgrading to a larger, more powerful engine would be quite expensive in your homeland. Post some pictures if you can.

I believe a 267 was a Chevrolet motor, at least here it was. Check to see if the distributor is in the front of the engine. If it is, it should be a Chevy. As far as reliability, I can't answer that. 91 octane should be adequate. If you determine that the motor doesn't have enough power, you can always improve that by the addition of an intake manifold and headers. Good luck Niki!

    Thank you for your answers!

    The motor-number is: K102808J-4CH156468!

The "J" in the number says that it`s a Chevy engine, so it is listed in the owners manual!

Can you say me where the car was built?

    Thank you!
