If you read the comments below the video in the link, it seems the kid that owns the car is ready to sell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2Jc89o9FYc
If you're talking about mine, lucky to have it. Sure it has its flaws and even though only a humble GS convertible originally, it has been upgraded to a 455 4spd which 18 were made, not counting 9 Stage1s. So lets think about it. You want a four speed big block convertible... Leave the 1970 aside, there were about 65 units made in 71 plus 72, I forget the exact numbers. Consider that maybe half the originals are left if that, and maybe a couple dozen were upgraded that are still roadworthy and you're back to just a handfull if you want one. The originals are going to be priced out of sight. A car like this you could drive, even beat on, and enjoy without too much concern. You think mid 20s is too high? Really? If you see other 71-72 GS 4spd 455 convertibles advertised please show me the link. I'd like to compare. Thanks, Mike
I thought we were talking about a convertible. You know, the top goes down. That isn't a convertible.
Not exactly, I thought he was saying a GS455 4spd Convertible for 24K. I'd like to see that unless it's in serious need of work, even if it's a clone GS455 built on an original GS350 car. Besides, it looks like the interior is in rough shape on that one. Apples and oranges to what I was trying to say.
If you are talking about the silver one in Jim's link, it was a GS350 now converted to a 455, very nice car, completely restored. I know a couple of people who have looked at it and one that almost bought it.
The Silver 1970 GS350 3spd hardtop has not been converted to a 455 it still has a 350 in it. I looked at this car the other day.
Mike your convertible is way high on my list so just know if I can ever get back on my feet after this Suncoupe resto I'll be interested in seeing it
