3800 supercharger on SBB?

This may be a crazy idea, but I was just wondering......... My daughter just bought a Grandprix GTP with the supercharged V6 (the whole family is car crazy) and it got me to wondering if it would be possible to adapt that blower to a 350 Buick. Would it produce enough CFM's at a usable boost? Would it be possible to mount it or is the V6 intake manifold built into the blower? Like I said it's probably a nutty idea, but if it was viable it would maybe be a cheap way to supercharge as you should be able to find them in salvage yards.

The manifold is built around the blower, its 2 pieces, but it will only fit on the 3800 engines with the correct manifold. Of course anything is adaptable   . But in all seriousness, there are companies out there that do make kits for any make and model you want to supercharge. Powerdyne makes kits for any carborated car out there, but remember its not the roots blower type. :TU:

If you were trying to adapt one to a 215", that could work. I'd shoot for an M90 at the very least though. They are stock on the Series II/III SC3800's.

If you're talking about using it on a 350" though - it's way too small. You'd want the M112. Shoot.....there are hot 3800's using the M112.

I kind of thought they would be too small.

Someone is making one big enough for a 350 and to be used with a carb. If you don't mind a 4 inch cowl to clear the thing....

Hmmm, never thought about this before. Now I am starting to brainstorm for my 350 in the future, lol. :Brow: If these setups can be had for pretty cheap, then it would be a nice way to add boost for some respectable power #'s. :3gears:
