For budget performance, what is the best Iron 350 head you can use to make HP? Theres a guy by the name of Roger Reed who has a 73 GS 350 running mid 11's. Does anyone know what heads he has on his engine? Thanks, Kevin

later heads have some smog passages, some extra water jackets, and hardened valve seats. exhaust valve is .05" bigger in diameter.

valve, combustion chamber, and port design remained a constant through all years, though. earier heads have a few less combustion chamber cc's, but that's about it.

I was told by someone on this board a long time ago that unless they wre aluminum I should stick with my 80 heads. They got the best of evrything from the past with the newer parts.

It was a while ago, in another section don't remember much but scratched heads off the list till we get aluminum.
