Start with what do you have now? Year, engine? 2 barrel or 4 ? Trans rear end? And what do you hope to see out of this?
Anything can be made more fun. What do have to start with? I started with a 71 GS 350, M21, 3.08 gears. It was a tired 91K engine that wouldn't rev over 4500 RPM. Now, it's a lot more fun and peppier.
Refreshed stock 350 motor. 15-20k on it. Edelbrock carb and a little advanced timing. Rebuilt th350 with shift kit too.
