350 engine trobel

    :( hello.
    I put in new pushrods and lifters in my 1969 350. drove the car 2500mil and then worked on the car fore 11 month. now i have start the engine, it run. I drove around the block. put it in the garage then the nekst morning it wood not start. I hade one very small backfire in the starting process. now I taken the intake of and from the 1 3 7 / 2 4 8 intake valve the pusehrods are bent 7 and 2 are even broken. 3 hydraulic lifters where out of hole (position) and I cant puss them in. (the shut be spring-loaded).
    When I run the engine whit out the sparkplugs I dit not hear any noise that this whas happened????????????
    When I started for the first time the oilpressure whas good.
    What cut be the problem ???????????:Do No: :Do No:

    The only thing I can think of is the push rods or lifters were different, which is not uncommon when dealing with an engine that hasnt been produced since the early 80's. The manufacturers get really sloppy when boxing parts for older engines. You didnt happen to over rev this thing when in 4 wheel low did yah:grin: Mark

    Hello Mark, The parts are from Summit. But wy only 6 pusehrods and only the intake valve. I put a th2004R transmision in it. no 4x4 any more.
