I just got the call from an older widow who has a 1967 Lincoln Continental convertible that she has decided to sell with me being the first call. 38,000 original miles and she / her family are the original owners. I posted some information on this car approx. 2 years ago on this board. It is so nice and clean, original, no bodywork ever. Turquoise blue with a white leather interior & top. After 35 years in storage, I know to inspect the brakes, cooling, tranny and 462 cubic inch engine. The brakes are frozen up and I do not know if the motor will turn over. Marvel Mystery oil for starters down the cylinders and let it sit for a few days. I have known and been watching this car for approx. 6 years so I know it's history. Last time I went to inspect it I found an old A&P grocery bag in the trunk with alot of dealer brochures etc.etc. It even has the original keys and the only owner's name engraved on a plaque on the dashboard. She did tell me that there is a banker who is very interested but the way our econmy has fallen out, I am not too fond of bankers. The trunk is full of relays, contacts, hydraulic hoses and fittings to allow the top to retract into the well. Anything else I should look at prior to paying the old gal for this automobile?
