I am brand new to this site and to the Buick 340. My newly purchased 1967 Skylark is bone stock witht the original 2 barrel carb. I am looking to liven the 340 so any links or available parts would be much appreciated.
Dual exhaust W/headers, aluminum intake, and some good dynomax or some kind of high performance muffler to add on to the exhaust would increase greatly, and have you thought along the lines of air-filters? K&N is an air-filter that will add a few good horses. -Cody
You can find alot of information in previous posts by using the search function of this forum for "340". This was a two-year-only engine, so aftermarket items are very rare. For instance, to add a four barrel carb as keith suggested, you would need an original 1966-67 manifold. Some English/Australian Rover items may also fit, but they are expensive.
Thanks YellowLark! That more of the info I am looking for. I have had several muscle cars in the past so I have lots of ideas for power increasing mods, however in the past, aftermarket parts were readily available. Does anyone have information on aftermarket parts that will work on this that are available?
