Well Im in class and just thought Id let everyone know I got my 340 headers in.The ones from Poston made for the skylark. They were tough to get in and had several clearance problems but we got them to work. Just thought Id let everyone know that was thinking of getting them.

Cool, I have a 1966 Lesabre custom 2 door hartop, I was going to get a set of these but the guy from Poston said that they were for the "A" body car and they would not fit in my "B" body, could you elaborate on how much hassle it was to get them to fit, as I would still like a set of these, cheers Louis

Yes please tell us where the clearance problems were...it's nice to know what us BOAT owners need to do to make them work.:beer

  4. wow. thats great. those little 340 engines were pretty stout and i bet that adding a set of headers will really wake them up even more. Bob

Well my cousin did most of the work on them (experianced with putting wrong headers in car (427 headers in his skylark)). He said the 3 major areas were the power steering box, the transmission and especially on both side the firewall. He had to cut them up to get them to work but their in. Ill be buying a digital cam from sears (work there, getting a $320 cam for $260) so I'll be able to get some pics up next week. So its $330 and alot of modification or at the very least $800 for custom made. I think its worth it more to just get them and modify them. Hope this helps.
