Ok, so I'm getting tired of searching for the ever dwindling supply of AC44 plugs. After arguing with the kid at the local parts store about the existince of a 322ci motor (man, what do they teach kids in auto shop these days..they know about nothing but SBC's) and finally just "borrowing" the appropriate page of their cross reference manual I noticed that it listed several alternatives:
    ACR43, ACR43S as well as Champion 58S.

So my question is this- Whats the difference in these plugs, is it heat range only? Or is there something that would prohibit me from using them

The AC 43 and 43S are one heat range colder, and the S stands for extended tip. If the 43S will clear the piston top, it would be the best choice.
