Anybody know if this casting number for a four barrel manifold will fit a 66 300 cu in engine. casting # 1359122S Thank you for any help, the manifold is on e-bay with no documentation as to what it fits.
I looked on here and that number does not show up as a Buick intake. Listed on here ARE the numbers you are looking for for your application. http://www.gesslerheadporting.com/m...7f3f173a509bfb4d85256e47001a8afa!OpenDocument
The 300 4 barrel intake was a one year only for the 65 motor. There were no later 300s with a four barrel,if you wanted a 4 barrel after 65 you had to get a 340.Anyway the numbers on both the 4 barrel 300 intakes I have are 1366695.And the 65 intakes will fit the later 300s but not the 64 which had an aluminum intake and heads....Bruce
Buicks.net shows that casting # as the 1964 aluminum 4v intake: http://www.buicks.net/shop/reference/smallblock_casting_numbers.html is this the auction you're talking about? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/300-...ryZ34198QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem that quite clearly shows the 4 holes in the top of the intake for a 4v carb.
o No: i believe the 64 intake (and heads) are supposed to have intake runners that are quite a bit narrower than the factory iron 65 stuff. i'm sure you could have Gessler hog out the runners though and then you'd have the best of both worlds; light weight and cross sectional area on the intakes to support high power/rpm.
