I have a 65 Skylark with a 300 4bbl. Are any of the engine components (heads, valve covers, distributors etc..) compatible with other GM small blocks such as 350's??

For the 300, many parts will interchange between the 215, 300, 340 and 350 BUICK engines. Not much will fit from other GM 350 engines.

    What won't fit:

300 aluminum heads/intakes except as a set on the cast iron 300 block

215/300/340 intakes will not interchange. 300/340 exhaust manifolds will interchange.

    215/300/340 valve covers will interchange

Water pumps, distributors, fuel pumps and many small parts will interchange.

215 is an all aluminum engine, but was the genisis for the 300/340

350 was an all-new design in '68. Components will interchange, but block/heads and most internals will not fit the earlier engines.

Do the 300/340/350 all use the same flywheel?
