I am rebuilding 300 engine and i have two sets of heads. I think i cant resist myself to port (ruin?) one set. SO
-How much i can blend throat of intakeport towards exhaust?
    -Shall i change floorcorner radius?
-Should i remove bosses(airpump?) from exhaustportroof?

I have header leftovers, i am planning to make headers.Any suggestions on diameters? Compression is around 9,cam is Cranes hyd 480" 110 lobecenters?

    Thanks ahead

Thanks Ponch for the tip. You wrote you have also picture from exhaustport?
Valvebowl is so restricted between valves and I was thinking it was made by purpose. I try to not a bigmouth them.
I hope to find Dremel under xmastree...

PS I have heard that this xmas hit in America is put the tree upsidedown and mount it to the ceiling?

    Exhaust port

Thanks Ponch, I probaly dont need the picture, now I know were the water is.
I try to concentrate to the bowl area.

Are all manufacturers stopped making roller rockers for 215-300 engines?
I cannot find them in TAs catalog, Crane and Yella Terra doesn't make them either. Today I was in speed shop and asked Pipercams made rockers, they dont have them in 2006 catalog. Oldprice was 478 roughly same in $.Guy said that he faxes to factory but beware that price could be near 1000.
Maybe TA has small quantity of them or they want order of 50 to make them. :Comp:
    Is ebay only solution?

    Rockers

Yes I forgot T&D, they have roller rockers in their webpage.
Harland Sharp lists only V6 and 430-455!
    T&D's page looks little old.
    Thanks guys :TU:

Just concentrate on blending in the bowl area. I was once warned by a Buick engineer DO NOT TOUCH THE SHORT TURN RADIUS! With your CR I'd go about 1.5 primary dia for street, 1 5/8 for race, but you really need more CR for that. If cast iron heads, don't hog out ports, they're already too big.

    Heads etc

I ordered T&D's Roller Rockers today. I checked their website again and noticed that you could have ratios from 1.5 to 1.65 . Any suggestions for the ratio? Yes its much easier to lost horsepower than gain it by porting.
1.5" diameter is probaly best, only drawback is that bigger looks better...
    Primarypipe lenght around 28"?

    T&D

Local speedshop ordered them somewhere. Wild guess is 400-500$. T&D's set doesnt include posts! If the shaft is same diameter and half of the rockers are good why not order set with different ratio?
    Hope they still make them.
