Anybody know if these are the Rover covers that will fit on a 65 300? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...d=1,1&item=8070722747&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT Any issues with them if they are? The price aint bad ($50 pr) but his shipping is a little steep. Thanks!
Valve covers Yes they'll fit.How 'bout making adapters and using aftermarket valve covers designed for sbc and sbf? If someone has blueprints, im interested :TU:
Adapters Yes, I know its been done. But my idea was, if someone has drawings of adapter and i have a friend who works on lasercut company= adapters. Price range of adapters is 60-80 and I think thats too much (plus freight).
I think you will have to make a PCV breather system On your 65 your oil fill cap on the drivers side doubles as an air filter for your PCV system (I am not talking about the PCV valve on the passengers side). I am willing to bet the fill cap on the rover cover is not vented. Most modern cars have a hose running from either the air filter box or the air intake ducting into the valve cover to act as the intake for the PCV system. On the picture it looks like it is aft of the fill cap just forward of where the dip stick comes up in the photo. If they kept the PCV valve on the passenger valve cover it should be somewhere on the drivers side valve cover. You will probably have to plug that hole and modify the fill cap to act as an air filter for the PCV system. I guess you could also try to design a filter to put in the Rover intake hole on the cover.
Well I found these for $30/pair, and they are on the way to me. As far as the PCV goes, looks like I can put the breather in the passenger side cover and the valve in the drivers side. The paint is already stripped off, so that will save some time. Thanks for the help/comments guys. Ill post a picture of um when I get um installed.
