Hello everyone, I have installed a Road Demon 500 cfm 2 bbl on my 300 ci stock manifold. Problem is it runs too rich and I can't get it right. I just changed my oil and it's all black already. My fuel ecconomy is way down, : etc. I also have installed a full MSD 6a box and distributer. An old time hot rod mechanic I know says it's running at 7.5 % mixture on his dyno and it should be at about 2.5%. He says the base plate of the carb does not line up with the stock manifold holes and the distributer is not offering any vacume. He says he needs to fabricate a new base addapter to line up the holes to get it running more lean. WHAT GIVES? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Rick LiCastri :3gears:

I think you need to try some leaner jets.
