I am switching a 65 4bbl manifold onto a 67 300. The problem is the coil on the 65 sits on top of the manifold, but on the 67 it sites next to the distributor. The 65 manifold has the coolant temperature sensor on the front of the manifold and hits the coil.

For those who have done the switch, how did you handle this situation? Can the coil just be moved, did you use a different sensor with a lower profile or something?

HeyJason, you can move the coil to the top of the manifold with no problem,it does not matter where its located but you may have to extend your wire lenghth. If you need the bracket for mounting on top the manifold I should have a spare one you can have for free but maybe your original will work anyway,if not just PM me and i will send you a bracket...Bruce.Do you need a pic of how the one on the 65 should be mounted,if so let me know and I will post a pic of my 65 4 barrel one.........

    Thanks,

I moved the coil, and had to lengthen the wire from the harness, but it looks to be ok.

Does anyone have pics of 4bbl put on a 67 300? I am curious about how some of the vacuum lines and fuel lines worked.
