Damn, I can't believe I missed seeing Scott there , lol. Strange dude, at least based on his FB group/posts & what I've read on here.

I could maybe understand someone being anal about incorrect details if you were trying to claim it was a 100% correct concours restoration.

Even then it's not cool to stand beside someone else's ride they took the time to display for others enjoyment and add your 2 cents about it to everyone who passes by.

To waste the time/energy to do so on an obvious custom show car shows just how much of a jackass the dude is.

Ryan’s car is obviously not a stock vehicle. When you own a vehicle like this you have to get used to/expect comments like this, it goes with the territory, as not everyone likes custom cars.

You should hear people’s comments about the X-Camino. I sometimes get people saying how I trashed a nice El Camino to build it.

They have no idea that I built it out of pieces from wrecked/junked cars, and don’t even get me started about the comments I have heard about the 69 Motion Equipped GS.

There are always people out there that are “experts” on subjects they know nothing about.

Anyway, congrats to Ryan for having his car invited to MCACN and being one of the pieces of “eye candy” at the front entrance.

    You did us proud.

Ryan good talking with you and seeing this car in person all I can say is wow. The work done to it to be a show car and seeing the little details.

Took the car out for a cars and coffee event today. Probably the last time out this year. Great weather today.

Stopped at a local antique store yesterday and saw this on a stand. I just had to buy it. I wish I could find out how to get in touch with her to get her to sign the pic or her and my car from back in the early 80's

Latest issue of Buick Bugle had my car in it. I am really excited but need to see how I can order a copy as I don't subscribe to it.

Pulled the car out today for some pics. I love this pic because you can just slightly see the ladder bars under it :)

Hi Ryan, hope it’s OK to share this here: came across this V8 Vega at a car gig here in Colorado this weekend. ISCA entry from mid 70s through 1980. Completely original and untouched. Neat comparison of the competition that might have been right next to your own car back in the day……

Steve that thing is wild. I dig it. Love seeing this kind of wild car art.

Little Vega reminded me a lot of your Buick:
Obvious someone spent a lot of time, continuous imagination and enthusiasm on the build but not a crazy amount of money. I’m sure it was not cheap $$ to construct at the time but definitely a very high-quality blue collar build. Still a basic small block Chevy/4 Speed Vega. Dig the addition of T tops on a Vega (?!) Flares, side pipes, split front bumper, old TAs etc. And the paint (?!!) holy cow(!) I can’t imagine the amount of time spent on that!
