i have a very nice 77 regal t-top with a 3.8 in it, i have a 75 buick 350 motor with no brackets that i want to put in it, the front of the motors are very similar, does anyone know if the brackets and pullys will work? any insight would be great.

As far as I know they do.

Let me know how your swap goes, I will be doing a swap from the v6 to the 350 pretty soon in my 84 Cutlass.

Thats a great idea, it's basically a bolt in with a new rad. Use the motor mounts for a turbo 3.8 motor because they are stronger and will fit fine with the 350, the only preoblem is true duel exaust. You will need to make or buy a new trany crossmember. You'll probly want to beaf up or switch the trans too.

Go to the Regals with extra cylinders section:

the switching over part isnt too bad, this ones still gonna be a cruiser, the v6 is just such a dog. i have my 84 regal that i have a stage 1 455 in, almost done,(changing the engine mounts suck) and an 87 regal with a 455 olds ( easiest swap of all when the car comes with a 307 olds, bolts right in. the 350 i have is just a stock 4bbl motor, i have a crossover pipe and everything just not any brackets and pullys, hope they work. i found the dropping the lower control arms and pulling the springs makes changeing the mounts a snap other then drilling new holes for the mounts.

Hey, you could always get that crossmember from Jegs and just run take downs of the stock manifolds.

What are you doing about the fan shroud? does it need to be cut or is there enough clearance ?

And just to double check, it's not the frame perches I have to change, it's just the motor mounts that I can change if I want to beef them up?

If you could snap a few pictures along the way that would be great!

I will try and get some of mine as the project goes along.

    Goodluck

yea i might get the different xmember. the shroud is funny because in 77 they take the v8 shroud and add about 8 inches of barrel onto it to take up the difference, all u have to do is remove it. wish i could have done it with my 84, i ended up getting the shroud off of a 86 v8 monte for that one. ill take some pictures too.dan
