3.8 motor - 78 skylark 2bbl 66000 hear it run

not mine , tech at my old dealership bought car for his kid to derby , they'll take motor and trans out and run a mopar 318 in it .
jeez , real solid car too from what he said . mentioned to him a few time it'd be a shame to derby that . 2 door sedan .
in car , can hear it run , said it runs good . he does need the carb off it though when motor comes out . not really a "ship" part , mid upstate N.Y. near me .
$200 - engine , engine/trans , either way .
no pics . i'll update info if needed . thats what i know for now , he just stopped into work for a sec and asked me .

quick bump .
and checked trans oil - looked ok . plugs were correct and looked ok . oil was down a little and needed changing but ok . no gunk in oil cap or in valve cover i could see .
and might be a good older jeep choice too .
