Ok 3.64 Gears Are Coming!!!! They Will Fit The 68-70 Buick Skylark And Buick Lesabre !!! I Just Got Off The Phone With Brad At Fabcraft And They Have The 3.64 Already Being Made... Yippie For You Guys... Ok- So Here Are The Details- The 3.64 Gear Will Be A Thick Gear That Will Fit The Same Auburn Carrier The 3.42 And 3.23 Gear Fits. We Did This Because... 1.) The Carrier Exsists Already And Very Few Mods Need To Be Made To The Unit For It To Work Just As A Factory Fit And No Machining Is Really Necessary 2.) Making A Gear That Fits A Dead Carrier (original 3.64 And Up Carrier Would Not Make Sense) 3.) Makes The Real 3.64 And Up Gears Still Valuable And Rare And Real Gs Cars Identifiable Too. Now The Bad News... Same Price As The 3.42 459.00 ...ouch! Good News Again They Are Truly All American Gears And You Are Helping The Economy. Nop... as stated they will fit the 3.42 carrier. Jim Sorry Jim we had to do it this way so the 3.64 gears that we make in the after market do not get stiffed from not having a posi unit to go with them. The factory Auburn units that are out there for the Buicks are dwindling after 40+ years the units are used up and not being completely rebuildable there will only be a handful that will really need them so best to buddy up on the guys that have the original stuff to use it for show cars and buy the aftermarket stuff if your really going to drag race and or drive them ground pounders. The Auburn hi performance 5420114 and 542099 both are able to modified pretty easy to make both new gears work direct bolt in. We have these posi units always available and ready to ship for you guys at better prices than most all speed shops PLUS they will be ready to go when you get it. Bolt the 3.23 or 3.42 ORIGINAL GM Buick gears to it and install or 3.42 and 3.64 aftermarket gears to either of the Auburn units and again install like normal. The reason these units fit is because of the larger carrier bearing hub size and this accommodates the bearings that need to be used to make the carrier fit.
