i have a 8.5 in my 65 Skylark GS - no fit issues at all. People say you need later springs , but i was able to use my 65 springs. I did have to buy a brake line adapter fitting to use a proper 71-72 combination brake hose/junction block. It was an Edelmann 258340 fitting.
