Just out of curiosity, will these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...299509&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_1182 gears swap into the 8.2 10 bolt in my car without much effort, using the current open differential which is paired to a 2.76 ring and pinion? Thanks, Jon
I think you will need a different carrier. See the Pontiac 64-72 page under Differential ID here: http://www.jdrace.com/
1968-1970 gears are ALL there own. Thiose gears will only fit PONTIAC 1969-1972 BECAUSE they have 7/16 bolts...OR you will have to drill out your old carrier ring gear bolt holes so the 7/16" bolts will fit through the carrier ring gear bolt holes into the ring gear. BUT this is ALL A MOOT point when you have a 68-70 Buick. You need 68-70 wagon or gs or standard buick sedan only. If you bought the gears do not fret too much. You can unload them pretty easy and or PM me I could offer something for them since all I do is build diffs. IF I had a set I would sell them to you. We have NEW after market 3.42 and 3.64 BUT the price is WAY up there. They are totally AMERICAN made gears from start to finish so you would be supporting your own. 430.00 for a set. Jim
