Why is it every 2x4 Air Cleaner that I've seen has a dent directly on the back upper rim about a foot long? I've only seen two and they were both billed as "dentless". Were they made that way? Certainly that isn't from adjusting the distributor. Could it be from working on the A/C? Thanks Rick
They were all made that way. I am not certain of the reason though. You don't notice it once it is in the car since it is on the back.

Mine has it also. I'd guess that gives additional clearance to the spark plug wires and terminals on the distributor. That great hunk of chrome would make a good electrical connection for a short!o No: Joe Jag in SD (burried under the snow)
