2nd water temp sender site?

I am adding a mechanical temp gauge to my 72 350 4bbl and want to keep the idiot lights so where do you recommend putting the gauge sender?

I believe the 350 manifold has an extra coolant bung for a vacuum tee. Throw that thing out and use that bung. Also, I'm pretty sure that's your only option:bla:

I asked about doing this because the plug on the drivers side of my 72 Buick 350 intake is really stuck and not coming out. Someone on the board said I would not get the correct temp by running a tee as the temp sending units would not be sitting in the intake then.

I have a lead on another 72 Buick 350 intake but I'm seeing if the plug is removed or can be removed first.

 

Vise grips, heat, hammers. You should be able to get that out.
