Hello all. I have a stock short-block with a TA212. I have a performer & TA's stage 1 heads. Before I put the Al heads on, I had a vacuum leak between the left cyl. (iron) head & the intake (a different performer). Now I have the nice heads & a different performer on. I thought I was having carb trouble, but a friend put his smoke machine on my engine (it pumps smoke into the motor, so if there is a leak, smoke will come out from that spot), smoke came out of the same place, again. Then I noticed that the gasket was kind of riding up from the #1 to the #7 port. Crap, it happened again, with different heads and a different intake, in the same exact place. Do ya' all think the block was milled a bit & I need some thicker than stock intake gaskets? Also if it takes a week to get the gaskets, would a bead of silicone on the top smooth things out a bit? Could this have caused my plugs to foul? Help me fast (please), this is my ride to work. Should I just get a new intake?
Thanx for the help Buick people.
