Will 265 50 15 fit on a 15x8 wheel in front of the 70 GS???? Wanted to go 295 50 15 back on a 15x10 and 265 50 15 in front on a 15x8. Originaly wanted to go 235 60 in front on 8s rim, but I like the 'nascar' 4 wide tires look. I currently have 255 60 in the back and tried them in front, and it does not fit really nice (for my taste), much too high, but the 265 50 should be a little bit lower and larger, wich would be cool, but will it fit, will it rub, can the front suspention take it??

I have a 275 45 17 in the front, it fit just fine.

Because its a 17 with a 15 the aspect ratio changes. You will have clearence issues . I had rubbing issues with a 255 60 15. Maybe get a special offset or go with a low profile like the 17's

My 245/60s rub on my fat sway bar even with a 1/4" spacer. Other sway bars may be different. That is with stock 7" wheels..

I have seen them (the 265-50r15) this summer at meetings and car shows on many many 77-81 Trans am that have them on all 4 corner, they do looks sweet on the 15x8 trans am ws6 wheel,....

since the 265-50-15 is a Tad shorter and narrower then a 17x9 with 275-40 or 245-45 series you'll definatly fit it nicely with a 15x8 with 5in bs i'm bet a a stock 15x8 with 4.5 bs would also work as i swear guys also use that bs for there 17x9 combo

the issue i may have with the size i want to put up front, 275-50 might be height problems...as i'm about half an inch taller then any 17in combo

How fat is your sway bar, and how bad is the rubbing?

    Thanks

1 1/4" .. It may just be the design of my sway bar from Suspension Technologies. The rubbing is very tollerable at full lock.
