264's NEVER came with a 4bbl. intake. It's more than likely from a 322 & is an exact fit.

    322 only

365 are wider and 401/425 are different too

Are you wanting to know if the intake will fit the engine or what carb will fit the intake????

As Tom says - the 322 (if that is what it is) 4 bbl manifold will fit the 264 just fine. The stock 4 bbl carburetor in most applications for a 322 was a Carter WCFB (White Cast Four Barrel). If you have or can find a good original one, it will work beautifully on a 264 and you can retain your gas pedal starter. Otherwise the jury is out. I think a Quadrajet is too big, and I would use a small Edelbrock or if you can find one, a small Carter AFB. Doc loves Holleys. I think with a bit of research, you can find an adapter to any of the above.

Mud,,,, IMHO a 425 with a stock cam can handle 800 cfm with ease.... now , if that 425 has a good hot cam , it can handle a 1050 cfm carb... that is what I am using now,,,, and Tom T. has run 1300 to 1400 cfm on a d/q set up.... In the past I used a 950 cfm carb on a stock bore and stroke 401.... it is hard to over carb a nailhead,,,, but it can be done, I suppose....
For an adapter I use 1/4 to 3/8 in cold rolled steel,,, and fab it up to match the base plate of the carb,,, this makes for a strong adapter that is very thin and doesnt cause hood clearance problems or disturb the flow into the intake at all...or at least very little...it is best to bolt the carb directly to the carb, but if you cant, like when you are using holleys , then you must have some kind of adapter... I like one that is made specifically for my application... and it also makes a excellent heat shield to the carb base plate....
Any of the 4150 or 3150 series holleys will work,,, and the Ebrocks, but dont let Codman know I said that,,,, and of course the carters ,,, and if you really want to go high dollar ,,, Webbers, both side draft and down draft....
When Ford was really, really serious about carbs they went with
    Webbers....
